RUD (rapid unscheduled disassembly) is the space business euphemism for “Our rocket done blowed up.” No, really…they really use the term:
Let's think about similarly horrible, obfuscating, dehumanizing 3LAs (three-letter acronyms we might employ:
CUP (catastrophic unplanned parking) = “The vehicle ran off a cliff and came to rest at the bottom of the ravine.”
CRE (cranial reflection enhancement) = “That dude is going bald.”
AAB (aptitude assessment bewilderment) = “I can’t believe how dumb you are.”
IOB (inadvertent online benevolence) = “My aunt’s online banking was hacked again.”
ICN (inevitable conference narcolepsy) = “This meeting is putting me to sleep.”

It's not 3 letters, but my boss and I came up with one when irritating or unreasonable demands were communicated to our team: "ICNTR," for I Choose/Chose Not To Respond.
